On 28–29 October 2024, the President of Women4Cyber North Macedonia, Ljubica Pendaroska Krstevska, participated in a regional workshop dedicated to the meaningful participation of women in the overall cybersecurity workforce.

With the aim of ensuring such a place for women, Ljubica emphasized the need for qualitative indicators based on a detailed analysis of the labor market in the country and the Western Balkan region. The analysis should identify which skills women need to develop in order to be competitive for senior and decision-making positions in the field of cybersecurity.

At the workshop, the need for continuous public awareness and cyber hygiene campaigns was once again confirmed and emphasized—not only among young people, but also across the entire adult population.

The event, organized by the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF) in cooperation with Women4Cyber Montenegro, and held in Podgorica, Montenegro, was the first in a series of planned events.
